  • Welcome

Welcome to my new blog/site! This is my effort to simplify my life and combine both a blog and a website into one for the ultimate look at all my work. Here you will find my most recent posts as well as galleries that are full of samples of my work. You will find pages that have all the info you would have found on my old website like portrait and wedding details, pricing info and a way to contact me. Everything about Debbie Harmon Photography is all here in one place...along with occasional brag sessions about my family and other personal things that are dear to my heart

If you are planning a wedding, I hope you are inspired by my work. If you are pregnant or have a family I would be honored to stop time for you. Regardless of who you are remember..."You can never go back!"

More catch up from this summer…so happy things are slowing down so I can post more!

There’s nothing more satisfying then getting a phone call from a Father of a past bride and having him tell you that he wants to hire you again for another family wedding! That’s just what happened when Cara and Stephanie’s father called me this summer. I shot Cara’s wedding several years ago and now I’ve been invited back to shoot her twin sister, Stephanie’s, wedding this November.

Their camp in Waterford, Maine was where we started their engagement session. It was a beautiful summer morning and the light was perfect! (I don’t usually shoot in the morning but I found this light to be just right!) After finishing at the camp we moved over to their wedding venue, Granite Ridge Barn; a new venue just opening this fall. I can’t wait to shoot there!! Check out their website HERE.

Thank you Stephanie and Joe. This was really fun and I can’t wait for your Thanksgiving weekend wedding!

Fort Williams Family Portrait Session: Maine Portrait Photographer

Playing a little catch up from this summer. Things have slowed down for me and now I can share all the great and beautiful people I’ve capture this summer.

I’ll start with this sweet family. Getting family portraits as your kids get older can be really difficult. Families have so many schedules to chase down with bigger kiddos but, I believe when you make it happen it’s worth the effort.

Thanks Keith Family for the fun session!

Mackworth Island, Falmouth Maine Engagement Session: Maine wedding photographer

When Stacy and Kevin told me that they wanted to use Mackworth Island in Falmouth as the backdrop of their engagement session, I was thrilled. I’ve shot out on the island many times but it has been a really long time. The island has great variety for backdrops from the rocky beach to the wooded paths and lots in between. I was just a little bummed that we ran out of time before we could play around in the fairy house woods!

Looking forward to their big day this weekend!

I have to admit that 1 year olds are not my favorites to photography….running babies are TOUGH! But look at this little angle! She definitely kept us on our toes and made me work for my $ but I think we did great at getting some classic portraits and some great images that show her fun 1 year old qualities:-)

Special Gift: Maine portrait photographer

I truly love that my photography has touched so many lives in, so many ways….Mostly all happy but I have had the unique opportunity to stop time for people in despair. Those times were never appropriate to share. This was NOT one of them but it surely was a moment that I was more then thrilled to offer my gift to a dear friend as she began her battle. I am blessed to do what I do and I know it!
